Go to this site and read through each page listed on the left (Introduction, Land & Climate, People, Work & Industry, Data File, Flags).  Play the games, click on the activities.

Now, imagine that you are writing a quiz for the class based on this site.  Come up with 10 quiz questions about the Sahara desert, based on what you learn reading through the materials.  Make sure you include the answers!  I will use some of these questions on the next quiz -- if I use your questions, you'll get extra credit (and you'll know the answer!).
